Import clients

Upload a spreadsheet or a photo of the list, map the columns, and fix addresses that arrived as one line.

Walkthrough 1 of 5

Open Import

Go to Clients and click Import. Upload CSV or PDF takes a spreadsheet or a photo. Scan paper uses the camera on a printed list.

  1. Step 1

    Open Import

Go to Clients and click Import. Upload CSV or PDF takes a spreadsheet or a photo. Scan paper uses the camera on a printed list.

  2. Step 2

    Match the columns

Name has to be mapped. If your file says Property, choose Address. If it says Cost or Price, choose Monthly fee. Email 2, Second email, or Additional email maps to Second email.

  3. Step 3

    Check the address split

A cell like 123 Oak St, Cleveland, OH 44114 is split into street, city, state, and ZIP. The preview shows the street on one line and the city, state, and ZIP under it. A street with no city stays as the street.

  4. Step 4

    Import

Click Import. A matching name, email, or phone updates that client and fills empty fields. It does not create a second copy, and it does not overwrite a value you already saved.

  5. Step 5

Upload again if the first pass only saved the name

Import the same file again after the columns are mapped. Empty address, monthly fee, and second email fill in. If the whole address was stuck in the street field, the new upload splits it.
