Move your books over
The short path from a new login to a bank, a client list, and an invoice that sends itself.
Walkthrough 1 of 5
Open the business company
The sidebar switcher has your business and your free Personal account. Personal is household spending. Connect business banks and clients on the business, so that money stays off the household books.
Step 1
Open the business company
The sidebar switcher has your business and your free Personal account. Personal is household spending. Connect business banks and clients on the business, so that money stays off the household books.
Step 2
Connect the bank
Go to Bank Accounts and click Connect account. Sign in at the bank inside the Plaid window. Pick the checking account and cards that belong to this company. Boss Bookkeeping does not see that bank password.
Step 3
Bring in clients
Go to Clients and click Import. Upload the spreadsheet, or a PDF or photo of the list. Match Name, and map Property to Address and Cost to Monthly fee if those columns are not named that way.
Step 4
Set the repeating invoice
Go to Invoices, then New Invoice. Pick the client, turn on Auto invoice, and choose the next send date. Save. That invoice stays the template. On the date you picked, a new invoice goes to both email addresses.
Step 5
Ask the bookkeeper when you get stuck
Open AI Bookkeeper and ask in plain language: categorize these, show profit and loss, create an invoice, or combine duplicate clients. Category Scan on Transactions suggests categories for charges that are still blank.
Open this in your books after you sign in.
